How it works
Rote sits in your menubar and watches how you actually work — so the repetitive stuff stops being your job.
- 01 · CAPTURE — every few moments it reads what's on your screen, on your Mac.
- 02 · SPOT — it finds the repetitive work: commands you rerun, tools you bounce between, the same steps over and over.
- 03 · BUILD — it stages the automation (a script, a fix) and you click to run it. No autopilot on your machine — you stay in control.
What you get
Your repetitive work, gone. Stop doing by hand the things a machine watched you do fifty times. Rote hands you the fix, ready to run.
Your data
Screen-capture data stays on your Mac. To make sense of it, redacted screen text (not images) is sent to Anthropic — by default through a small Rote relay that holds the key but doesn't store your text (or use your own key to go straight to Anthropic). Cards, passwords and API keys are scrubbed first and password managers aren't captured; best-effort, not a guarantee. Scrubbing removes secrets, not the broader content on your screen — that redacted text is what gets processed. Full detail.
